People Will Always Say Something
And you should always do what you have to do.
Are you afraid to do something because you fear people won’t take it well? Do you think you could be more than you are now only if you were born somewhere else where people wouldn’t say something for everything you do?
Guess what? There’s no such place where you’d be over peoples’ criticism.
People will always say something. No matter what you do — good or bad — people won’t take it well. Because, well, they are “people.”
Does that make them “bad people”? No. Just people. Not bad, neither good.
You may be the sweetest chocolate you’ve ever tasted, but some people even don’t like chocolates.
You can never please everyone. You can please some people sometimes. But pleasing everyone every damn time? That’s not something you want to waste your time on. You’ll just waste your valuable time you can rather invest in improving yourself.
All the time you think or spend on pleasing anyone other than you is wasted time.
You think people care about you?
People only care about themselves. Everyone does. No one thinks about you.
Not even while they are criticizing you for something you’ve done. They are only feeding their own ego or have something against you because you did something they can’t fathom anyone can. At least they couldn’t.
You’ll have a normal life if you only follow the norms
Norm is what we normally do. When most people behave in a certain way, it becomes a norm.
Whatever the norm is in your culture won’t remain the same in the days to come. It wasn’t a norm even some decades ago.
Norms change. Because people change. They make norms.
Doing everything following the norms means you’ll have a normal life. You’ll be like the average people with normal lifestyles.
You can never achieve anything great unless you go beyond the norms.
